Meet the Jockey Club. The JC used to have a nice view of the Las Vegas Strip, but then Cosmopolitan moved in. Now they have a nice view of, well, the walls of Cosmo. The rumor is the owners of the JC, which is a timeshare, wouldn’t sell. So Cosmo just built around them. Seperation between the two buildings is about 10 feet.

I used to think the view of the strip was beautiful from the 15 and the west side of the valley. Now I wouldn’t know. The competition for the highest and fattest building has blocked the view. It makes me sad.

Wow – glad you posted that…. I’ve stayed at the JC before and had an incredible view of the Bellagio fountains from the huge bedroom. Moved away from Vegas a few years ago and had no idea the Cosmo was built around it.
